Columbia EDP Center, Inc.  Scholarship Essay Contest

Columbia EDP Center, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of a scholarship essay contest to be awarded once yearly for the fall academic semester.  Columbia EDP will select and award each winner a one-time minimum $500 (USD) scholarship to be used towards tuition, board, or any other educational expenses. The team at EDP is committed to supporting area students in their educational path towards excellence.  

Who is eligible:

To be eligible, applicants must be graduating high school seniors who reside in Missouri and intend to continue their education at a 2- or 4-year college or university.  Applicants must also have a connection to Columbia EDP.  For example, they can be the children of EDP clients or EDP clients’ employees’ children.

How to apply:

Any student who fits the eligibility requirements listed above can apply for the Columbia EDP Scholarship.  To be considered for the scholarship, students need to:

• Complete the application

o Personal demographics and contact information

o Include a personal biography of 2-3 paragraphs

o Submit a 500–1000-word essay on “Creating a productive and successful workplace.”

• Submit at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator. 

Deadline for Submission:

The essay submission deadline is April 20,2023

Selection Process and Notification:

Columbia EDP staff will review all essays received and at least one winner will be chosen.  Once the winner has been determined, the recipient(s) will be announced on the EDP website as well as notified via email. The award will be issued on June 2,2023.
